Happy New Year!
What are your hopes for the new year?
Maybe you have New Year's resolutions, maybe you don't.

I've made a New Year's resolution to work out more often
I hope my resolution doesn't end in three days

I'm not sure what 2024 will bring.
Just, I hope the new year brings more reasons to smile.
I hope there are no more wars.
No more earthquakes, no more wildfires, no more floods.

I've learned something as I've gotten older.
When I was younger, I used to look forward to the new year
and fantasize about what special and fun things would happen this year.
But as the years have gone by, I've learned through experience how grateful I am to just get through each day without incident and to be truly "okay".
