Max Custom French Return Curtain Rod | Installation Guide
00:00 - 00:05 | Packing List
Check your package: Rod (1x), Pre-installed Return Brackets (2x), Silent Rings, Mounting Hardware, and Instructions.
00:06 - 00:10 | Tools Required
You will need a power drill, tape measure, pencil, and a screwdriver.
00:11 - 00:16 | Pre-Assemble the Rod
Connect the center rod with the two return brackets to form the complete unit.
00:17 - 00:22 | Positioning & Marking
Hold the fully assembled rod against the wall at the desired height. Use a pencil to mark the screw holes through the bracket base.
Pro Tip: The rod is close to the ceiling and extends the window frame 6-10 inches(Use the level).
00:23 - 00:27 | Drilling the Holes
Set the rod aside. Use your power drill to create holes at the marked points and insert the plastic anchors or not. (Depending on your wall material.)
00:28 - 00:33 | Securing the Rod
Reposition the rod over the anchors. Drive the screws through the bracket base until the unit is firmly secured to the wall.
Pro Tip: Keep the brackets attached to the rod while securing. Do not remove and install brackets separately, as slight manual measurement errors can prevent the U-shaped rod from fitting into the brackets later.
00:34 - 00:41 | Separate Rod from Bases
Loosen the small set screws on the underside of the return brackets and carefully pull the U-shaped rod away, leaving the mounting bases securely fixed to the wall.
00:42 - 00:58 | Adding Silent Rings (For Hook Style)
If your curtains use hooks, slide the silent rings onto the rod before finalizing the side attachment.
00:59 - 01:19 | Hanging the Curtains (Pinch Pleat/Hooks)
Carefully attach each curtain hook into the eyelet of the silent rings and adjust the pleats for a neat look.
01:20 - 01:33 | Hanging the Curtains (Grommet Style)
For grommet curtains, slide the rod directly through the metal rings before snapping the rod ends into the fixed brackets.
01:34 - 01:49 | Hanging the Curtains (4-in-1 Tape Style)
For back tab curtains, slide the rod directly through the back tab of the 4-in-1 tape. This signature French return eliminates side light gaps and top light gap( if your rod is close to the ceiling) for total privacy.
01:50 - 01:53 | Installation Complete
Ensure all screws are tight. Enjoy the elegant, artisanal finish of your new Curtarra drapes.
