Determining the perfect solar setup for your particular RV and electrical needs is a difficult task for someone new to the solar scene. Because of this there are many pitfalls and mistakes the RV solar noob can make.

I installed our RV solar system onto our RV myself and we've been successfully living off of it for over three years now as full time RVers. However, despite the fact that I did tons of research and spent hours on the phone with technical support of various solar component manufacturers, I still made some mistakes.

After experiencing some of these mistakes myself and speaking to many others who have installed solar I've come up with a list five common RV solar mistakes to avoid. I hope that my sharing these common pitfalls with you it will help you avoid them and create a solar system for your RV that will fit your needs perfectly!
