This part of the trailer build has been a long time coming. Aside from the project itself taking a long time to finish, Cormac has been researching types of materials for our walls for months. We got several quotes and several companies who would not sell their wall panels to us after hearing what we would use them for. We were about to spend A LOT of money on some panels, when Cormac decided to take a trip to Home Depot. (We had previous gone to Lowe's, but did not find what we needed there.) What do you know?! They had the perfect material for our project, that was light, flexible, and a nice matte finish white - just what we wanted. Plus, it was about a third of the cost of what we were quoted.
That in itself was a roller coaster, but the build also tested us in many ways. It's hard to accept sometimes when something you thought would be simple turns out to be WAY more involved that you had considered it would be. There were definitely moments when I felt like we'd never finish getting these walls up, or even just finish all the paper templates. However, the stars aligned when Cormac and I had to quarantine for a week, giving us the opportunity to invest the consecutive time we needed to just put our heads down and get it done.
As always, this project is not possible without my loving partner and best friend, Cormac. This particular job was also not possible without the help of Cormac's dad, Dennis, who graciously spent an entire weekend helping us install the wall panels. He was just the extra set of hands and fresh eyes we needed to finish the work!
We hope you enjoyed this video, and that you're getting as excited as we are for what is to come! Stay tuned for more videos!
