In this video SINGLE STOREY EXTENSION - ROOF CONSTRUCTION CONTINUED, John starts off explaining about fixing timber ridge plate, and gives you a top tip with his 90 degree adapter for drill. John then cuts insulation to prevent thermal bridging on the ridge plate. A cavity tray and weep hole is added to the ladder frame and then cutting rafter feet ready for fitting fascia boards is next. Pete is working on one of the flat roof structure taping insulation joints before fitting lay boards. John is on the second flat roof and explains how to create falls on a flat roof. Pete and John then complete fitting plywood to a flat roof. Alex is laying pad stones on which he will fit steel beam for face of dormer. He is then fitting a cavity wall lintel over the window and door opening. Will is then on site to felt and batten pitch roof and gives you roofing tips and tricks along the way.
