My HP BS 145-tu Laptop was very slot in operations like during boot, opening an application or during read and write operations, the CPU is 8th i5 & RAM is 8GB, the bottleneck is the 5400 rpm HDD drive where the OS is installed and the data is present.

Option 1 was to replace the existing HDD drive but I had another option to add an additional drive in the slot of DVD.

I decided to upgrade the storage part with additional SSD drive with a tray replacing the existing DVD drive because the DVD drives are tending to become obsolete.

I installed Windows 10 OS on the Kingston SSD drive and the boot time drastically reduced from 3 minutes to less than 10 seconds from POST BIOS.
