Our goal is continuous improvement to Tesla vehicles and assemblies.
The Model S window regulator is not made by Tesla. We found a common failure point, a plastic ferrule, which when made out of billet aluminum substantially improves the life of this window regulator assembly.

We incorporated a slot our aluminum replacement ferrule to allow a retrofit by removing and replacing the plastic ferrule.

This video describes the replacement steps.
