Tesla Model Y - A Better Center Console

The Tesla Model Y continues to ship with the gloss black center console. Since the Tesla Model 3 started deliveries in 2018, companies started offering vinyl wraps to install over the gloss black. These wraps have come down significantly in price, and help to solve the overall problem.

The issue with wraps is they are time consuming to install, and require a certain level of ability to properly set. This is not an impossible task to install on a Tesla Model Y or 3, it is just a lot of work.

Recently, companies started making ABS plastic covers that adhere with 3M tape for the Tesla Model Y and 3. The benefits of these covers is that they instal significantly faster and easier than wraps, and they last longer.

These newer products for the Tesla Model Y and 3 have come down in price slightly, but they are still more expensive than vinyl. The cover we decided to install also has a slot molded in that allows for the key card to nicely sit in the slot.

At about half the price of the RPM Tesla offering, this cover is a great value.
