My UPS started turning off whenever the laser printer turned on and further checking by unplugging the UPS power cord revealed that the batteries were dead.
I looked up the UPS purchase order and I had been using the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD.UPS constantly for seven years. This is very good life for a set of batteries that have been online for 24x7 hours.
So I was willing to pay more to get an official OEM replacement battery pack. These battery modules tape two batteries together with a plastic spacer and a wiring harness with a connector to form a single battery "module" making for easy replacement.
The cable connecting the battery to the UPS is a good, solid connection that requires some effort to unplug. I am looking forward to another six or seven years of solid power protection for my equipment from this top-of-the-line UPS.
None of my cheaper UPS units have ever lasted nearly this long. Note that shipping of batteries of this type takes longer due to shipping regulations so they wont come in two days even if you have prime.
It took seven days from the day of ordering to the day of delivery but this is entirely due to restrictions on such batteries being shipped by air.
My Cyberpower 1500PFCLCD is about 3 years old and has gone through several power outages, so like another reviewer, I decided to replace the battery pack.
It was easy to open the case, remove 2 screws and take out the old battery but I had difficulty properly closing the case with the new battery. Even though it appeared to be fully inserted, I took it out and re-seated it and problem solved.
The battery connection cable is extremely easy to attach. So far, everything seems to be working as expected. I will update the review if there are any problems.
The battery was in a Cyberpower shipping box well protected but this was placed in an amazon outer box without any extra protection. The outer box was battered but the inner box was fine.
I upgraded to windows 10 a few months ago, the Cyberpower app works fine but the separate battery meter is, unfortunately, not compatible with windows 10.
